The 2007 4-coin £1 Bridge Series Silver Proof Collection has just been issued by the British Royal Mint Celebrating the Gateshead Millennium Bridge

The British Royal Mint have issued the 2007 UK Scouting Centenary 50p Silver Proof Piedfort in commemoration of the Centenary of the Scouting Movement.

Struck in .925 sterling silver this splendid Proof Piedfort coin is double the thickness of its circulating counterpart and therefore contains twice the amount of silver.

Designed by one of the Royal Mint's own engravers, Kerry Jones, the coin appropriately features a globe, emphasizing the growth of the Scouting Movement, along with the Scouts' familiar fleur-de-lys and their famous motto 'Be Prepared'
